Convention Survival Checklist


How many times have you been to a convetion and realised you've left something at home? Worry no more; I have created a checklist you can review before you leave the house!

General Attendee's Checklist

This checklist is specifically for those who are planning on staying over at the convention.



Personal Items

  • Deodorant/Body Spray - Dear God. Bring this.
  • Full change of clothing. Minimimum one 1 per day (excluding trousers, jumpers and jackets)
  • Comfortable Footware
  • Hip Flask
  • Business Cards
  • Phone Charger
  • Teeth brush and paste
  • PJs
  • Rave/clubbing outfit
  • Medication
  • Cash
  • Phone/wallet/keys


  • Travel Documents
  • Bus Passes/Rail Cards
  • Con Tickets
  • Passport (if necessary)
  • Pre-paid Car Park Tickets

Emergency Repair Kit Items

  • Contact Adhesive - Impact or Alpha Thixofix 40ml
  • Scrap foam to apply adhesive
  • Small blade/scissors
  • Nylon strapping
  • Extra fabric for patching
  • Sewing Kit
  • Make up and wipes
  • Spare batteries
  • Hipflask
  • Safety Pins

Armour Checklist - Head to toe check

  • Helmet
  • Undersuit
  • Neck peice/scarf

Optional Extras

  • Hot glue gun + glue. Depending on the convention, it may be difficult to find a plug socket. If you’re staying over, I would recommend bringing one in case!
  • Roll of duct tape
  • Soildering Iron
  • Extra wiring
  • LED replacement - unlikely unless you're going to a week long con!
  • Paint pen for touch ups
  • Alka seltzer and Dioralyte for rehydration after a night at the Fox!!!
